Euronews: Romania beats Ukraine 3-0

Romania achieved an exciting victory over Ukraine 3-0 in the first round of Group E competitions in the European Championship 2024.

Nicolae Stanciu (29), Razavan Marin (53) and Denis Dragos (57) all scored goals for the Romanian national team. 

With this victory, the Romanian national team earned three points in the match and temporarily topped the list of Group Five, awaiting the result of the second confrontation between the Belgium and Slovakia national teams, which will take place this evening.

With this victory, the team recorded its first victory in the history of its participation in the tournament since the 2000 edition in the Netherlands and Belgium, when it defeated England 3-2 in the group stage of that tournament, making today’s victory the second victory for Romania during five participation in the Euro competitions.
