Rashid receives blessings from presidents and kings on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha

President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, today, Saturday, received congratulations and blessings from presidents and kings on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.

The Presidency’s Media Department said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The President of the Republic received a phone call from the President of the Tunisian Republic, Kais Saied, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha,” noting, “The President and his Tunisian counterpart exchanged congratulations and blessings on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.” “Expressing their wishes to the Iraqi and Tunisian peoples for progress and prosperity.”

The Media Department added, "The President of the Republic appreciated Tunisia's decision to lift the visa for Iraqis entering Tunisian territory," stressing that "this decision will contribute to strengthening relations between Iraq and Tunisia and encourage tourism and commercial exchange between the two countries."

The Department continued, "The phone call discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, and the importance of consolidating and developing them in various fields was emphasized in a way that achieves common interests and enhances security and stability in the region."

Rashid also, received a call from King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha," indicating that "the President and the King exchanged congratulations and blessings, and prayed to God Almighty that this occasion would bring goodness, safety and peace to all the peoples of the region." . The department pointed out that. 

The department stated, “The relations between the two countries were discussed, and emphasis was placed on keenness to strengthen and develop them in various fields in a way that achieves the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples for development and well-being, and consolidates security, stability and peace in the region,” noting, “The President and the King touched on the situation in Palestine, “Stressing the need to stop the bombing and violations committed against the Palestinian people in Gaza, and the importance of supporting the Palestinians to achieve their legitimate rights and establish their independent state on the Palestinian national territory.”

“The President of the Republic received a phone call from the Emir of the State of Kuwait, Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha,”
and explained, “The President congratulated the Emir of Kuwait on the occasion of the happy Eid, wishing continued progress and prosperity to the brotherly Kuwaiti people, while Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad congratulated Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, President of the Republic, expressing his wishes for security, stability and prosperity to the brotherly Iraqi people.

In counclusion, the department pointed out, "During the phone call, the strong relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields were emphasized, and the importance of working to develop and strengthen them and continuing coordination and consultation on issues of common interest."
