The Charge d'Affairs of the Iraqi Embassy in Libya, Ahmed Al-Sahhaf, confirmed today, Saturday, that the visit of Iraqi Youth Minister Ahmed Al-Mubarqa to Libya gave a qualitative boost to sports relations between Baghdad and Tripoli.
Al-Sahhaf told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “Minister Al-Mubarqa invited his counterpart, the Libyan Minister of Sports, to visit Baghdad,” stressing that “the members of the Iraqi community in Libya will have great support and the sports sector will be a vital concern for them.”
He added: "We are preparing to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Libyan Ministry of Sports," noting that "the Iraqi community will participate in sporting activities and events in Libya."
