Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) announced, on Friday, the arrest of 158 defendants this month.
INSS in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA ), stated that "it continues to carry out its qualitative operations in all the country provinces according to a distinguished intelligence effort and judicial approvals, where during the month of May it was able to arrest (35) accused of terrorism and(54) drug dealers , as well as the overthrow of (69) electronic extortionists".
The statement added " our detachments seized more than (3) thousand tons of processed and smuggled wheat and(55) tons of materials unfit for human consumption".
“In separate duties, our detachments carried out arrests, including the overthrow of (7) defendants who practiced trafficking in human organs, and two defendants belonging to extremist religious movements, as well as the arrest of two accused antiquities dealers”, the statement continued.
