President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, discussed with the technical management of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) headed by Never Jörg, today, Thursday, the LaLiga project with Iraq.
A statement from the Football Association, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: “The President of the Iraqi Football Association, Adnan Darjal, held via the electronic circuit a meeting with the technical management of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), headed by “ Nifir Jorg”, and the meeting was attended by Hassan Maloush and Hassan Hassan. And Amr Muhib, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Iraqi Football Federation, Engineer Muhammad Farhan, and the executive directors of LaLiga, namely Javier Jimenez, Carlos Rodriguez, and Antonio Ruiz, and the technical director of the Federation, Wissam Najeeb Saliwa.
The statement added, "Derjal explained the details of the LaLiga project with Iraq, and one of its priorities is developing league competitions from professionals to all age groups, as well as developing talent by establishing talent centers in all governorates, with the main center being in the capital, Baghdad."
He pointed out, "The meeting touched on how to develop administrative, technical, and medical staff through holding workshops and intensive training courses to do so, and Carlos Rodriguez presented the strategy for development, which includes all sectors, including developing talents and coaches, as well as developing both women's football and futsal."
The statement continued, "Both Nifir, Belhassan Maloush, and Hassan Hassan made clear their full support for all development programs, and also their full support for the Iraq file. It was agreed to hold an upcoming meeting, and there will be a visit soon to the Union's headquarters to meet with the Union's administration and its technical management."
