The National Security Service –NSS announced, on Wednesday, the seizure of 100 thousand anesthetic pills in Anbar.
NSS said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that " Based on accurate intelligence information, continuous field follow-up, and after obtaining judicial approvals, the detachments of the agency in Babil governorate were able to carry out a qualitative operation in coordination with the Anbar Security Directorate, which led to the arrest of three drug dealers after luring them to Ramadi and overthrowing them with the guilty in possession of 100 thousand Captagon pills that were to be distributed among the governorates of the country”.
The statement added that "the accused have been referred together with the seizures to judicial authorities to receive their just punishment in accordance with the law".
