Rasool: Outlaw groups attempt to attack Iraqi bases

    The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yehia Rasool, confirmed on Monday, that outlaw groups are attempting to attack Iraqi bases.

    “The Iraqi government continues the intensive work to enhance security and stability throughout the country, stabilize the pillars of the state, and work to develop the capabilities and capabilities of our heroic security forces,” said Major General Rasool in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    He noted, "In this relentless pursuit, outlaw groups are trying to attack Iraqi bases, some of which international coalition force advisors are present, including what happened at 1550 on Monday, by sending a bomb-laden drone near the airport, Erbil city."

    "This accident led to injuries and wounds, disrupted the work of the airport, and affected the timings of civil flights,” he added.

    Major General Rasool highlighted, “Such criminal acts aim to harm Iraq’s interests, regional and international relations as well as connections. While we condemn this terrorist act, we affirm that the Iraqi security forces, backed by intelligence efforts, will reach the perpetrators and bring them to justice.”
