Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani Visits Headquarters of Federal Police Command

    The media office of the prime minister said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces,  Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, visited the headquarters of the Federal Police Command in Baghdad. During the visit, he toured the Military Museum, paid respects to the souls of the martyrs by reciting Surah Al-Fatihah, and inspected the medical center at the police headquarters to inquire about their needs.

    Prime Minister Al-Sudani chaired a meeting with the leaders of the Federal Police, during which the implementation of their security plans was thoroughly reviewed.

    Al_Sudani congratulated the police forces on the sixth anniversary of the great victory and the defeat of terrorism. He acknowledged the heroism and sacrifice of all security services, highlighting the decisive battles fought by the heroes of the Federal Police and their significant contribution to achieving this victory.

    The Prime Minister emphasized that his visit to the Federal Police headquarters is a reaffirmation of the importance of this security service in the Iraqi security system. It also serves as an expression of appreciation for the significant sacrifices made by the Federal Police.

    The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces has issued an order to honor federal police officers by granting them six months' promotion, while non-commissioned officers will receive two years' promotion. He emphasized the commitment to enhancing the capabilities of the members by providing support in terms of expertise, training capabilities, equipment, weapons, and thermal cameras.

    Prime Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining the momentum of the victories achieved by the security forces and avoiding neglect of these achievements. He stressed that no party or group has the authority to appoint itself as the guardian of Iraq in place of the state's constitutional institutions. Prime Minister emphasized that the government will confront the challenge posed by individuals or groups attempting to assume or confiscate the role of the state and its national decision-making.

    Al_Sudani emphasized the need to exert efforts to ensure a secure environment for the success of the provincial council elections scheduled for December 18. He urged everyone to be at the highest level of readiness and preparedness to maintain security in Baghdad and all provinces.

    Prime Minister reiterated the importance of guaranteeing the free choices of service members participating in the special vote and avoiding any pressure on their electoral choices. He directed security leaders to take care of the well-being of service members, ensuring they have everything they need. He also recommended adherence to human rights standards in dealing with citizens.
