The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, confirmed today, Friday, the educational institution’s interest in keeping pace with modern technologies, promoting innovations, and employing digital tools and artificial intelligence in the medical education environment.
A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: “Al-Aboudi, in his speech during the International Unified National Conference for Colleges of Dentistry in Iraq, where he explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is interested in this path, which required it to launch its award for artificial intelligence in scientific research in the fields of medical sciences.” Security, defence, desertification, food and the environment with the aim of encouraging innovation and excellence in the field of artificial intelligence and its applications for scientific research,” noting “the commitment of the Ministry and its institutions to strengthening the structure of higher education, linking it to modern technologies, and developing curricula and educational and training programs in order for graduates to be armed with contemporary capabilities and skills.”.
The Minister of Education expressed his confidence that "Iraqi universities and their specialized colleges will enhance their results achieved in international classifications and will strengthen their partnerships with reputable universities with the aim of improving the educational environment and improving their outcomes now and in the future.".
The statement concluded by saying, “The opening activities witnessed speeches by the President of the Conference and the Chairman of the Scientific Committee, while the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored the international participants, including academics and representatives of Arab and foreign university institutions, and opened the exhibition of specialized companies in the field of dentistry.”.
