A Spanish press report revealed the position of German Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Barcelona’s goalkeeper, towards facing Rayo Vallecano tomorrow, Saturday, in the 14th round of La Liga.
Ter Stegen returned from the Germany national team camp suffering from pain in his lower back, which worried Barcelona fans. Because the goalkeeper is a vital piece in coach Xavi Hernandez's squad.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Ter Stegen will not participate in the match with Rayo Vallecano, as he is still suffering from back pain.
The newspaper added, “Ter Stegen came to the Sports City today, and took the test before the training, and it was agreed not to include him to avoid risking him, and therefore he will not participate.”.
"Mundo Deportivo" noted, "Although Ter Stegen is unable to participate, it is possible that he will be included in the match roster and travel with the team to support the players, with young goalkeeper Inaki Pena playing in his place as a starter."
