Khazali discusses with Kutrashev the repercussions of the continued Zionist aggression against Gaza

    The Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, discussed today, Thursday, with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, the latest developments in the political and security situation in the country, developments in the regional and international situation, and the repercussions of the continued Zionist aggression against Gaza.

    The media office of the Secretary-General of the Asaib Ahl al-Haq movement stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “Sheikh Khazali received in his office in Baghdad, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Elbrus Kutrashev, and discussed with him the latest developments in the political and security situation in the country, and developments in the regional and international situation, And the repercussions of the continued Zionist aggression against Gaza.”.

    Sheikh Khazali said, according to the statement, “The war waged by the Zionist occupation forces against innocent women, children, and the elderly in the Gaza Strip has revealed the falsity of the claims of human rights and the protection of civilians that the United States calls for and those who follow it,” noting, “Iraq, thanks to its government. The national government, which represents all components of the Iraqi people, is witnessing a state of political and security stability, calling for increased cooperation and coordination between Baghdad and Moscow in various fields.

    In turn, Ambassador Kutrashev expressed his country's support for the Iraqi government and its efforts at all levels, the most important of which is the electoral process that Iraq will witness next month, which Moscow will participate in monitoring, strengthening bilateral relations, and developing prospects for cooperation between the two countries. 

    He also expressed his appreciation for Iraq and the keenness of its leaders to strengthen relations with Russia and increase the volume of cooperation in all fields.
