The federal intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA announced on, Thursday, the arrest of 13 wanted persons under various legal articles in several governorates.
The agency said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "The intelligence agency detachments specialized in combating terrorism, carried out four separate operations carried out by the Federal Police Intelligence Directorate and intelligence directorates in (Nasiriyah, Muthanna and holy Karbala)".
The agency added that "the operations resulted arrest of (3) wanted according to Article 4/1 terrorism and (2) accused according to Article (405 and 406) Penal Code in Baghdad, as well as the arrest of (2) accused according to Article 4/1 terrorism in both Nasiriyah and holy Karbala and (6) accused according to Article (405) of the Penal Code in Muthanna province”.
"All the accused have been referred to the competent authorities to receive their fair punishment" the agency said.
