PM Chairs a Meeting of Ministerial Council for National Security

    Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Mohammed S. Al-Sudani, chaired a regular meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security.
     
    The meeting involved a discussion on the nation's security situation, with a focus on reinforcing the execution of vital security strategies to enhance stability and security across Iraq.
     
    During the meeting, the Prime Minister issued directives to bolster the Border Ports Authority with additional human resources, financial resources, and technical equipment to enhance border control and curb smuggling activities. Furthermore, the emphasis was placed on rehabilitating and improving infrastructure in the border-crossing governorates.
     
    The situation in the Sinjar District was discussed, and His Excellency emphasized the importance of backing the judiciary and ensuring that service departments work diligently to provide citizen services and streamline procedures. Additionally, he directed the ongoing efforts to create a conducive environment for the return of displaced individuals to Sinjar District and to aid in its reconstruction.
     
    The Ministerial Council for National Security reiterated its full support for all endeavors focused on upholding security and establishing stability in all Iraqi regions, with the aim of assisting the government in executing its reform and development initiatives.
     
    The Council addressed various items on the agenda and enacted the required actions concerning them.
