Health Minister Saleh Al-Hasnawi announced on Wednesday, the hospitals and centers entering the service during the current year, while pointing to the provision of 150 billion dinars through pharmaceutical contracts.
In statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) Al-Hasnawi said that " The health sector has witnessed many developments during the current year, including the reconstruction of lagging hospitals and the opening of two large hospitals, al-Sayyab in Basra and al-Shahid al-Hakim in al-Amara”, pointing to the opening of the canal center three months after the formation of the government and began work.
He explained that “a number of centers have also been opened in the provinces, including the Center for burns and cardiac diseases in Fallujah and centers in other provinces, as well as the rehabilitation of a number of hospitals in Baghdad and the provinces".
He added that" popular clinics have been opened and the provision of medicines and supplies is distinct and different from previous years”, noting that "there is support for the government program for heart and cancer centers”.
He continued that " at least 150 billion dinars have been saved through the contracts of the general pharmaceutical company compared to the contract prices for previous years", stressing that "the ministry will issue its annual report containing the totality of what has been achieved during this year".
