9 Daesh members arrested in six governorates, says DGIS

The Directorate General of Intelligence and Security-DGIS announced on Saturday the arrest of 9 terrorism suspects Daesh members in six governorates.

“According to accurate intelligence information received by Maysan Operations Command and the contingent (8, 10, 11, 14, 16, and 17) affiliated with DGIS, and through precise ambushes in various areas of the governorates (Baghdad, Anbar, Kirkuk, Nineveh, Maysan, and Salah al-Din), our detachments were able to arrest of (9) people accused of terrorism in accordance with the provisions of Article Four of the Anti-Terrorism Law in the districts of Ramadi, Fallujah, Karma, Dibs, Al-Kahla, Mosul, Al-Shirqat, Daquq, and Al-Rashid district, as they were working with ISIS terrorist gangs,” stated DGIS in a statement received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.

“They were handed over to the requesting after completing the necessary procedures against them," the statement added.
