MOI and Military Industrialization are discussing ways to supply the security forces with weapons

    The head of the Military Industrialization Authority, Mustafa Ati, and the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir al-Shammari, discussed, today, Thursday, ways of cooperation and the importance of relying on self-manufacturing to supply the security forces with weapons.

    A statement by the authority, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said: “The head of the Military Industrialization Authority, Mustafa Ati, met with the Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir al-Shammari, at the ministry’s headquarters.”.

    The statement added, "The two sides discussed ways of cooperation and the importance of self-reliance and supporting the Authority's work to supply the security forces with weapons, equipment and military equipment, to support the country's economy and reduce dependence on imports.".

    The statement indicated that "Al-Shammari expressed his full support for the Commission," noting that "achieving self-sufficiency in weapons is considered a fundamental and urgent demand in Iraq."
