JOC: High coordination with the Kurdistan region to pursue terrorism

    The Joint Operations Command announced today, Thursday,  the conduct of 6 joint security operations with the Peshmerga during the current year, while specifying the areas of those operations.

    The spokesman for the Operations Command, Major General Tahseen Al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “There is high coordination between the joint operations and the Kurdistan region, especially with the Peshmerga forces, and cooperation based on the joint exchange of information and the conduct of joint operations,” indicating that “6 joint security operations were conducted.” With the Peshmerga during the current year.”.

    Al-Khafaji added, “Our goal is to chase and prosecute terrorist organizations, especially in areas of common security interest,” noting that “cooperation in this field is through joint coordination centers in Baghdad, Erbil, and the rest of the regions as well, and there is high coordination in the field of information exchange and prosecution.” "This is a major development and progress in the relationship with the region, especially the Peshmerga."

    He pointed out that "Operation Solid Will was the last operation of the sixth phase and was joint with the region, especially in areas where terrorist organizations are present," explaining that "its results are good in terms of cooperation, coordination, and unity of command and control."
