The Federal Investigation and Intelligence Agency-FIIA announced on Tuesday, capturing a group of arms trafficking in Baghdad.
"Pursuant to the directives of the Minister of the Interior, which includes monitoring and following up those in violation of regulations, FIIA detachments, through their monitoring of social media sites, detected pages within social media sites managed by unknown persons who sell arms to the citizens without controls or licenses,” FIIA said in a statement, received by The Iraqi News Agency-INA.
"An intelligence and technical working group was set up to investigate and locate these websites, as our detachments enabled to arrest them and close their pages on social media,” the statement added..
“Their confessions were duly recorded, and they were referred to the concerned authorities to receive their just punishment,” the statement continued
