A Latam pilot fell ill on a flight from Miami to Santiago, Chile, and died after making an emergency landing in Panama. This is stated in the statement of the carrier.
“Flight 505, flying from Miami to Santiago, was forced to reroute to land at Tocumen International Airport in Panama due to the need to provide emergency care to one of the three members of the command staff.” – noted in the message Latam, published on the website of the radio station Biobio.
However, despite the medical assistance provided, the pilot died. The air carrier also noted the 25-year work of the commander of the vessel in Latam and the professionalism of the deceased, expressed condolences to relatives and apologized to passengers for the flight delay.
