Interior Minister assures his Jordanian counterpart of Iraq's keenness to consolidate relations with its neighbors

    Interior Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari confirmed, during his meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, Mazin Al-Faraya, Iraq's keenness to consolidate relations with its neighbors and brothers.
     
     
    A statement of the Ministry of Interior received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that, "Amidst an atmosphere full of cordiality and the depth of the close relations that bind Iraq and Jordan, the Minister of Interior, Abdul al-Amir al-Shammari, and his Jordanian counterpart, Mazin al-Faraya, who arrived Sunday in Baghdad, made a tour in the Ummah Square in the center of the capital, as the two ministers met a group of citizens who were present, and were briefed on their conditions and exchanged conversations with them, and the citizens praised the relations between Iraq and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
    For his part, the Jordanian Minister of Interior expressed, according to the statement, his admiration for the great welcome by the citizens, wishing Iraq and its people continued security, stability and lasting prosperity.
    While Al-Shammari confirmed that "Iraq today is keen to consolidate relations with its neighbors and brothers, and welcomes the Jordanian Minister of Interior to his second country."
