CTS elaborates the airdrop operation in Kirkuk

    The Counter-Terrorism Service-CTS on Tuesday elaborated the details of the Airdrop Operation in Kirkuk province.

    “In line with the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, and under the supervision of CTS commander, Lieutenant General Abdul-Wahhab Al-Saadi, and Further to our statement issued on Friday, 2023/7/7on the heroic airdrop operation carried out by a special unit at CTS, on a hideout near the village of Kitka in the Altun Kupri of Dibis district - Kirkuk governorate. In this operation, the intelligence forces at CTS enabled to identify the group that carried out the terrorist attack targeting one of the military checkpoints on the road between Mallah Abdullah and Riyadh in Kirkuk, resulting in the martyrdom and wounding of a group of security forces heroes, stated The official spokesman for CTS, Sabah Al-Numan, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    "By a blitzing airdrop, the heroes were able to kill 5 terrorist members and seize their weapons and equipment to serve as a lesson for the remnants of ISIS terrorist groups that who have no choice but to surrender,” he added.
     
    He continued, "Based on the above, we show that our Ops target the remnants of ISIS terrorist gangs, and follow tactics consistent with the nature and methods of the threat."

    Al-Numan concluded the statement by renewing CTS pledge for the Iraqi people and for the blood of martyrs to proceed resolutely to defeat terrorism and those who support it until the achievement of a safe and stable Iraq.
