Iraqi government spokesman, Basim Al-Awadi, announced today, Sunday that the government's semi-annual report would be sent to Parliament after the Eid, while noting that the achievements mentioned in the report were made without a large budget.
Al-Awadi said in a statement to Al-Iraqiya News, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The semi-annual report of the Iraqi government included all the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the important points in the government program, and it will reach the House of Representatives after Eid al-Adha holiday In order to inform the members of the Council of what the government has done in many aspects.
He added, "The report included raising all issues transparently, and the ministers had a long time to justify what was not achieved or completed," noting that "the final evaluation of the report during the past 6 months is above good."
Al-Awadi stated that "during the next 6 months, a new report or an annual report will be issued that includes broader details," pointing out that "the aim of issuing the report is that the current government is a national service government that puts success in its sights, as there are issues that are not tangible for the citizen through decisions issued by the government, but it is in the interest of the citizen.”
He continued, "All that was mentioned in the report are achievements that took place without a large budget, that is, through regular exchange, the available funds, and some of the remaining funds from the Emergency Support Law or according to the Financial Management Disbursement Law 1/12," explaining that "the budget will provide the legal space and funds to implement projects".
Al-Awadi indicated that "the government has a clear approach and policy that includes strategic paths in foreign policy, which the Prime Minister emphasized through his multiple and important visits, which resulted in strengthening countries' confidence in Iraq as a partner in all fields, and as for the path of domestic politics, the government relies on:
Moderation and balance in the way the government deals with the political blocs of various components.
Close coordination with the coordination framework forces and the State Administration Coalition
Effective coordination with Parliament.
Dealing directly with citizens and informing citizens of its steps.
