Iraqi National Security Service(INSS) announced on Thursday, the arrest of two drug dealers and the seizure of 8 and a half kilograms of "marijuana" in Baghdad.
INSS said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that ",There are many drug dealers who use different methods,, including smuggling "marijuana", which is a type of drug with a mental and physical effect which leads to addiction, but it became exposed to the detachments of the apparatus concerned with this file, after the availability of confirmed intelligence information about the process of receiving and delivering a quantity of drugs in the center of the capital, “Baghdad”, judicial approvals were obtained and an elaborate ambush was initiated that led to the overthrow of two drug dealers in the Mansour area in flagrante delicto amount of marijuana."
The statement added, "During the initial investigation, they admitted that there were larger quantities in one of the house near the place of arrest, so the aforementioned house was immediately raided and quantities of "marijuana" amounting to 8 and a half kilograms were found, in addition to bags and materials used in the manufacture and packaging of narcotic substances, and sums of money. in dinars and dollars,” explaining that “the seized items were confiscated in coordination with the relevant authorities, and the accused were brought to the judicial investigation to receive their fair punishment in accordance with the law."
