Prime Minister Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani renewed the emphasis on creating a successful economic bloc between the Arab countries and the countries of the region, while noting that Iraq will host the end of the year, "Baghdad 2023 Conference for Economic Integration and Regional Stability."
The Prime Minister said in a press conference he held with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Iraq has oil reserves amounting to 145 billion barrels," indicating that he "desires for mutual investments with brothers, especially in Qatar".
He added, "Iraq is ready to work with brothers to achieve peace, development and prosperity," noting that "we discussed with the Emir of Qatar investment opportunities in construction and reconstruction inside Iraq, and the participation of Qatari companies in infrastructure projects."
He stressed, "There is a serious desire from Qatar to participate in the development project," pointing out, "We are happy with this Qatari desire."
The Prime Minister reaffirmed the coordination of positions regarding the common challenges in the region, "addressing everyone by saying: "Iraq has regained its natural position and role in the region, and it is ready to work with brothers and friends to achieve peace and prosperity."
He pointed out that "the Arab countries and the countries of the region are able to establish a successful economic bloc," reaffirming "the creation of an economic bloc between the Arab countries and the region."
He stated, "Iraq will host the end of this year (Baghdad Conference 2023 for Economic Integration and Regional Stability)."
