MOC: The government is keen to build promising economic relations with all countries of the world

    The Minister of Trade, Atheer Dawood Al-Ghurairy, affirmed today, Friday, the Iraqi government's keenness to open up to all countries of the world to build promising economic relations.

    A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, "The Minister of Commerce, Atheer Dawood Al-Ghurairy, arrived at the head of a delegation of representatives of Iraqi ministries and relevant authorities to the Egyptian capital, Cairo, today, Friday, in preparation for the convening of the joint Iraqi-Egyptian Higher Committee for its second session.".

    The statement added, "The Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, had received Minister Al-Ghariri and his accompanying delegation from the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and representatives of the relevant ministries and authorities, in preparation for the second session of the joint Iraqi-Egyptian Higher Committee for the period from 10-13 June.".

    The statement indicated, "The Supreme Committee begins with expert meetings to discuss the technical level, then the two ministers chair preparatory meetings at the ministerial level, in preparation for the convening of the Joint Higher Committee headed by the prime ministers of the two countries.".

    Al-Ghurairy stressed, according to the statement: "The Iraqi government's keenness, within its program, to open up to all countries of the world to build promising economic relations at various levels, including Egypt, in a way that achieves the aspiration of the two brotherly peoples.".

    The statement continued, "Minister of International Cooperation, Rania Al-Mashat, welcomed Minister Al-Ghurairy and the accompanying delegation to their second country, Egypt, as she put it," stressing her country's keenness to enhance hard work in implementation of the directives of the leaders of the two countries to move joint relations to broader horizons and stimulate bilateral relations in all fields.
