An Iraqi-German meeting in Baghdad to document the foundations of cultural cooperation

    The General Union of Iraqi Writers held a consultative meeting with the German-Iraqi Cultural House and academic artists from art colleges and institutes; To document the foundations of cultural cooperation between the two countries.

    The Secretary-General of the Union, Omar Al-Saray, stated in a special statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that he "managed today a meeting that was held at Al-Jawahiri Hall in the Union building for circulation between academic artists from colleges and institutes of arts in Iraq, and the German-Iraqi House for Culture and Arts," stressing, that "The Writers' Union is an incubator for cultures and sciences in various fields of thought, creativity and beauty.".

    For his part, the head of the German-Iraqi Cultural House, Honor Karim, said: "We are coming to document the foundations of cooperation between the Iraqi and German cultures academically, through the exchange of activities through the official government institutions in the two countries, in addition to civil society organizations," noting that "today's meeting with the Union The year for writers in Iraq was deliberative in order to consult on what the German-Iraqi house can offer.

    In turn, the financial affairs official at the German House, Maysoon Anbar, pointed out that "the German Cultural House aims to serve Iraq by identifying the need of universities, federations, civil society organizations and trade unions, and inviting Iraqi personalities to hold seminars in Germany to introduce artistic, literary and scientific benevolence in Iraq." ".
    After the meeting, the attendees visited the Museum of Iraqi Writers, and looked at its pavilions, which included manuscripts and belongings of the pioneering writers while writing in their homes, in a remarkable way.
