MOP: Cooperation with KSA will expand in the fields of agriculture, industry and the petrochemical sector

    The head of the Iraqi delegation, Minister of Planning Muhammad Ali Tamim, confirmed today, Thursday, that the first work of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council has now begun to culminate in real intentions and partnership, while pointing out that its results will be invested in expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, industry and the petrochemical sector.

    Tamim told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "In light of the challenges facing the world and the region, some of which are political and others environmental, and climate changes, the Iraqi-Saudi Coordinating Council launched this year at the height and best of the relationship between the two brotherly countries.".

    He added, "This council was established 6 years ago, and its early work has now begun to culminate in true intentions and partnership for its launch in all economic and political fields, and to invest the results of the council's work at all levels, whether agricultural, industrial, or the petrochemical sector and renewable energy.".

    He expressed his hope that "the council will establish a model of true partnership, to be followed by the countries of the region to enable them to face challenges in the Arab region," pointing out that "partnership of interests and convergence of visions will contribute to positive repercussions on the two brotherly peoples."
