Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein discussed on Thursday with the Czech Foreign Minister the economic, investment and educational fields between the two countries.
Hussein said during a joint press conference with his Czech counterpart attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "the relations between Iraq and the Czech Republic have gone through different stages and support to the Iraqi people," indicating that "economic and trade relations were among the focus of discussions, and we discussed supporting Czech companies and participating in building the Iraqi economy, as well as study fellowships in In the Czech Republic".
Hussein added that "Iraq's leading role in the region was also discussed, as well as the roads to the Syrian situation and return to the Arab League."
He added that "Iraq is an oil country and in the coming years will be an invading state," noting that "the Czech Republic provides support to Iraqi forces in the war against terrorism."
For his part, the Czech Foreign Minister said, "We look forward to the joint opening with Iraq of the business conference," appreciating "Iraq's role in contributing to the arrangement of things in the Middle East."
He expressed "his country's readiness to develop relations with Iraq," offering"an official invitation to the Iraqi foreign minister to visit Prague."
