Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani, offered on Wednesday his condolences to Sayyed Muqtada Al-Sadr and all Al-Sadr family, their lovers and followers, on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Muhammad Sadiq Al-Sadr and his two sons.
Al-Sudani said, in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "With heavy hearts, we honor the memory of the esteemed martyr, Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr, and his two sons, who were tragically martyred on the noble path of prophets, martyrs, and the righteous.”
He added, "The despotic regime committed a heinous crime, targeting a revered religious symbol and displaying abhorrent criminal behavior that violated all divine laws.”
He concluded by saying: "We offer our heartfelt condolences to His Eminence Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, the honorable al-Sadr family, and all the devoted followers of the revered Martyr al-Sadr as we solemnly commemorate this poignant occasion."
