The US Geological Survey reported on Sunday, that a 5.6-magnitude earthquake hit the coast of Northern California.
The earthquake was recorded this afternoon 74.3 miles east-northeast of Eureka and 63.5 miles east of Petrolia near Humboldt County in the western US state of Nevada.
US Geological Survey said the earthquake was two kilometers deep.
According to user responses on the USGS website, the earthquake was felt in Ferndale, Lolita, Fortuna, Whitethorn and Eureka.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
