General Federation of Agricultural Cooperative Associations in Iraq confirmed Friday, that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, is the first head of a government to deliver the dues of marketers immediately, while calling on him to open additional silos in all governorates of the country.
The President of the Federation , Imad Al-Badiri, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Federation thanks Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani for his initiative to open Al-Kout silo, that he is the first Prime Minister since 2003, launches a good campaign and takes the initiative to deliver marketing dues immediately.”
Al-Badiri added that "Silos throughout Iraq work 24 hours a day," calling on the Prime Minister to "open additional silos as in the governorates of Muthanna, Amarah, Najaf and Diwaniyah."
He called for "the use of modern irrigation means in the Samawah desert, Najaf and the holy Karbala, and the implementation of what the Prime Minister stressed that every farmer has modern irrigation means to face water scarcity and treat it with modern irrigation techniques."
He called on the Prime Minister to "support the peasants with modern irrigation techniques, and open additional Silos in all governorates, especially Salahuddin and Nineveh.”
