The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul-Ghani, announced today, Thursday, that the Turkish authorities have been informed of the resumption of export operations from the northern port - the port of Ceyhan - as of next Saturday.
The Ministry of Oil stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company, SOMO, informed the Turkish BOTAS company to resume export and loading operations, as of Saturday, May 13.".
The Minister of Oil indicated, according to the statement, that "the conclusion of contracts with international companies for the sale and marketing of crude oil from the Turkish port of Ceyhan has been completed, according to the mechanisms adopted by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company SOMO."
