Security forces kill 3 terrorists in Samarra: SMC

The security media cell announced on Thursday the killing of 3 terrorists in Samarra.

A statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "after continuous assurances by the Joint Operations Command for caution and the intensification of efforts and follow-up to miss the opportunity for terrorist elements, the security units within the Samarra Operations Command were able to thwart an attempt to be exposed to one of the federal police points in Al-Mutasim area.”

It pointed out that "an operation was launched to search the area near this incident, which led to the martyrdom of one of the officers who supported the checkpoint, as our security forces were able to kill 3 terrorists, one of them a suicide bomber wearing an explosive belt and control their weapons and night binoculars," stressing that "search operations are still continuing within this area.”
