Defense Minister discusses with his Italian counterpart deepening future relations

Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi discussed on Tuesday, with Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto ways to develop future relations between the two countries.
 
A statement by the Ministry of Defense-MOD, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Defense Minister Thabet Muhammad Saeed Al-Abbasi received, at the ministry's headquarters in Baghdad, the Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto and his accompanying delegation."
 
 
The statement added, "The Minister of Defense welcomed at the beginning of the meeting his Italian counterpart, lauding Italy's efforts during its participation in the international coalition in the Iraq war against the terrorist gangs of ISIS, and he also appreciated the role of the NATO mission and its support for Iraq through the training and development courses that were held for the cadres of the Ministry of Defense inside and outside Iraq." 
 
It also continued "The two sides discussed ways to develop future relations between Iraq and Italy, as well as the two countries' endeavor to open ways and the deigned plans for joint cooperation in the future."
