PM congratulated the Iraqi workers on their anniversary: We are keen to activate the Labor Law

On International Workers' Day, we extend our warmest congratulations and deepest appreciation to the hardworking individuals in our honorable Iraq, the men and women in the public and private sectors, and everyone who tirelessly contributes to our society. Through their unwavering dedication, we can achieve a stable and secure present, a promising future, and sustainable social well-being. 


Al-Sudani said in his speech, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),"We recognize their labor’s value and commitment to excellence, which sets a shining example for all."


 Dear Iraqi workers, as the backbone of our nation's development and progress, we rely on your invaluable efforts to realize our government's priorities in promoting industry and revitalizing machinery in both government and private factories. Your commitment to excellence is also crucial to our agricultural development plans. This International Workers' Day, we celebrate your dedication to the growth of our beloved country, which is in dire need of the tireless contributions of its hardworking citizens. Your pivotal role in the realization of our collective goals is a testament to your unwavering spirit and determination.


 Our commitment to driving economic growth and improving the work and investment environment is rooted in our goal of creating more job opportunities, especially for our youth. 


We firmly believe investing in our young people is the key to our nation's development. To this end, we have launched several promising initiatives, such as the "Riyada" program, which provides an effective platform for channeling energy and employment into the right sectors. Additionally, the "Careers" project serves as a comprehensive recruitment platform, offering a vast database of employment opportunities in the private sector, increasing the likelihood of finding a suitable job. We are committed to creating a brighter future for our youth and our nation through these initiatives. The government is fully committed to implementing the Labor Law and has worked diligently with the Parliamentary Labor Committee at the Council of Representatives to finalize the necessary procedures for enacting the Retirement and Social Security Law. 

This legislation is designed to provide equitable treatment for workers in the private sector, serve as a protective umbrella for their workspace, enhance their capabilities, and ensure their social protection. Our administration recognizes the vital role played by workers in driving our economy forward and is dedicated to promoting their welfare and prosperity. As we celebrate this special day, we would like to take a moment to express our deep admiration and respect for the unwavering spirit of commitment, discipline, and sincerity exhibited by Iraqi workers.
