Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari arrived on Sunday in Dhi Qar province at the head of a high-level security delegation to discuss the security situation and the stability of the province.
"Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari arrived in Dhi Qar province at the head of a high-level security delegation to discuss the security situation and the stability of the province, follow up on intelligence efforts and pursue those wanted by the judiciary," a ministry statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said.
"The security delegation included Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Lt. Gen. Qais al-Muhammadawi, undersecretaries and a number of military commanders," the statement said.
