Counter-Terrorism Service CTS announced Thursday that it had foiled a terrorist operation in Salah al-Din.
CTS said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "under the direction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, and under the supervision of the head of the Counter-Terrorism Service, Lieutenant General Abd al-Wahhab al-Saadi, our heroes managed, with an intelligence effort, to control a warehouse of explosive devices, explosive materials, specializing in the manufacture of explosives, it was intended to target citizens in Al-Shirqat, Salah Al-Din Governorate.
It added, "Our units have taken the necessary measures to secure citizens so that our people can enjoy security and stability in Ramadan."
