President Rashid receives Finance Minister to discuss the financial and economic situation

The President of the Republic, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, stressed on Wednesday, the importance of improving the standard of living of the Iraqi individual.

The media office of the President of the Republic stated, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the President of the Republic, Abdullatif Jamal Rashid, received in the Baghdad Palace, the Minister of Finance, Taif Sami, and during the meeting, they discussed the financial and economic conditions and approved the general budget in a manner that meets the aspirations of citizens."
The President of the Republic stressed the importance of carrying out appropriate reforms, encouraging investment opportunities and supporting strategic projects, as well as developing and diversifying the sources of the national economy by activating the role of other sectors in a way that contributes to enhancing revenues.

He pointed out, "the importance of improving the standard of living of the Iraqi individual and following modern methods of financial management and benefiting from the experiences of developed countries in this field."

In turn, the Minister of Finance reviewed "the procedures followed by the ministry in addressing the economic and financial conditions, and what the current circumstance requires of concerted efforts to overcome the stage and its repercussions on public life."
