The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency announced on Sunday that it thwarted the smuggling of two million liters of oil derivatives and seized 58 vehicles in different areas of the country.
A statement by FIIA received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said that "the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency in the Ministry of Interior continues to follow up and pursue criminals who trade in oil derivatives by stealing and recycling them in factories and smuggling them by vehicles designated for this purpose using criminal methods, these efforts have resulted in the seizure of more than two million liters of oil derivatives as a result of the arrest of 58 defendants with the vehicles they ride and the detection of 15 sites used to recycle derivatives containing tanks of various types and sizes."
The statement added that "the operations were carried out in different provinces of the country and all legal measures were taken."
