FIIA arrests five terrorists in Baghdad and Salah al-Din

The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA in the Ministry of the Interior announced Thursday the arrest of five terrorists in the Baghdad and Salah al-Din governorates, who were providing logistical support to terrorist elements.

 A statement by FIIA, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the agency's detachments, with separate operations in Baghdad and Salah al-Din, managed to arrest five wanted terrorists in accordance with the provisions of Article (4 / terrorism)."

 The statement added, "The terrorists were providing logistical support to terrorist elements in Salah al-Din Governorate, as well as providing information about the movements of the security forces."

 It pointed out, "Their arrest came after obtaining the necessary judicial approvals and the formation of a specialized work team from the intelligence agency in the two governorates, where their statements were judicially recorded.
