The Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency FIIA of the Ministry of Interior announced on Sunday the arrest of four traffickers in human organs in Salah al-Din.
A statement by FIIA received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) stated that "the federal intelligence and investigation detachments in the Ministry of Interior, based on accurate intelligence information and a tight ambush, were able to arrest a gang for trading in human organs consisting of four people while they were transporting a person to sell human organs from Salah al-Din province to Sulaymaniyah province."
"The necessary legal measures have been taken against them,” it added.
