The head of the Iraqi Federation of Industries, Adel Akab, confirmed on Friday, that Iraqi dates and foodstuffs are highly demanded.
"There are about (60) items that are exported to all countries of the world, especially Europe, Australia and USA, in addition to the Arab market, especially juices (Karwanchi juices)," Akab said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Akab added, "We had participation in Dubai WoodShow, and we noticed that Iraqi dates and foodstuffs are highly demanded," pointing out that "there are 22 outlets in Dubai for these materials, especially Fusteka Company, in addition to the companies of nuts and other materials."
He stressed, "Many international organizations have offered their support for the participation of the Iraqi private industrial sector abroad, indicating that this is the first time that Iraq participates in international exhibitions," as it participated in the halal expo in Istanbul and today Dubai WoodShow as well as many near participations in other expos ."
