Putin: We welcome China's willingness to play a role in settling the Ukrainian crisis

Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an article for the Chinese People's Daily, welcomed Beijing's willingness to play a positive role in a settlement to the Ukrainian crisis.
Putin stressed that Moscow is open to a political-diplomatic settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, despite the lack of results last April.
"Russia is open to a political-diplomatic settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. However, in April 2022, we did not end the peace talks in any way," the Russian president said.
