Iraqi President Receives US President Special Envoy

Baghdad, INA- President Barham Salih received on Sunday morning Mr. Brett McGurk, the US president special envoy, and the accompanying delegation in “Qasr Assalam”, Baghdad. In a statement, a copy of which was acquired by (INA), Salih emphasized the importance of relations between Iraq and the United States, stressing the importance of bolstering them in various fields, particularly economic and trading within the context of the strategic framework between the two countries. On his part, the US President special envoy emphasized his country’s resolve on extending cooperation horizons between the two countries.
