Military Intelligence: Capturing (9) members of the terrorist ISIS gangs in Kirkuk, Anbar, and Salah al-Din

The Military Intelligence Directorate announced on Monday, Capturing 9 ISIS terrorist gang members in three governorates.

 The directorate stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA),” With qualitative operations and unremitting efforts of the department and people (intelligence and security) of the Salah al-Din Operations Command and the Eighth, Tenth and Eleventh Divisions, and in cooperation with intelligence and a force from the brigades of those commands, tight ambushes were set up in the areas of the same governorates, which resulted in the arrest of (9) terrorists wanted for the judiciary in accordance with the provisions of  Article Four: Terrorism in the districts of Daquq, Kirkuk, Al-Sharqat and Al-Ramadi in the control of the martyr Muhammad Al-Karawi and Kilo 35 and the districts of Riyadh and Al-Multaqa, and they have been duly handed over to the requesting authorities.”
 
The statement added, “They reaffirmed their support for the Iraqi efforts to develop anti-corruption mechanisms, in order to ensure progress in this regard.”
 
The delegation stated that they have sensed real determination by the Iraqi government to combat corruption, which prompted the delegation to visit Iraq.
 
Both sides stressed the importance of fighting corruption as a mutual responsibility that requires the cooperation of civil society institutions and independent bodies, as well as the judiciary and other authorities.
