The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, approved on Friday, forming the command of the 21st Division at the Iraqi army.
“The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, agreed on the request of the Ministry of Defense to form the command of the Army's 21st Division”, A senior security source said in a statement to The Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He added, "The headquarters of the 21st Infantry Division will be formed from the resources of the Ministry of Defense, and the deployment of the division's sectors will be in Salah al-Din Governorate."
