The Energy Committee hosts the Minister of Electricity to discuss 9 files

 Electricity and Energy Committee hosted Wednesday Electricity Minister Ziad Ali Fadel to discuss 9 files.
 
The reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said that "the parliamentary electricity and energy committee hosted today, Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadel and the advanced staff of the ministry."
 
He added that “The hosting aims to discuss:
 
First, the results of contracts with companies in the previous stage in terms of maintenance, production and transportation.
 
Second: details of the two memorandums of understanding with the German company Siemens and the American General Electric Company.
 
Third: measures taken by the Ministry for the summer plan of 2023.
 
Fourth: The Ministry's vision of filling the shortage in production, and according to the information available to us, there is a significant shortage of about 12,000 thousand megawatts. What actions have been taken in this regard?
 
Fifth: the ministry's procedures for an alternative to Iranian gas.
 
Sixth: funds are required to be allocated in the electricity sector in the coming years and the classification of these funds.
 
Seventh: The mechanism of dividing electricity shares between governorates and the method of distributing them within the same governorate.
 
Eighth: The relation of the Ministry of Electricity with the Ministry of Oil, Interior and Defense in terms of the following:
 
 
(a) Supplying the Ministry of Oil to your Ministry, what is the amount of money owed by your Ministry for oil ministry?
 
 (b) The Ministry of Interior and Defense on the protection of energy and the removal of trespassing.
 
Ninth: the ways to address stoppage to ensure that transformers do not malfunction.
