A senior security delegation headed by Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Lt. Gen. Qais al-Muhammadawi arrived on Sunday in Kirkuk province.
"A senior security delegation headed by Deputy Commander of Joint Operations Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi and Commander of the Land Forces Lieutenant General Qassim al-Muhammadawi arrived today at the command of the advanced headquarters of joint operations in Kirkuk province," said the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
INA reporter added that "The visit came to follow up on the latest pre-emptive operations carried out by the army and federal police units."
Al-Muhammadawi stressed "the need to continue to put pressure on the remaining terrorist groups hiding in valleys and mountain ranges," pointing to "qualitative strikes on the hideouts of terrorists in Wadi al-Shay and Wadi Zaghitoun and to maintain the clear security stability witnessed by all regions and districts of Kirkuk province."
