National Security Adviser Qassim Al-Araji affirmed on Wednesday, that Iraq respects the sovereignty of states and refuses to violate its sovereignty.
The media office of the National Security Adviser said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the National Security Adviser, Qassim Al-Araji, received, in his office today Wednesday, the Chairman of chairman of the Iraq parliamentary Human Rights Committee Arshad Al-Salihi."
The statement added, "The two sides discussed human rights, security, and the return of the displaced in Tal Afar and Sinjar, as well as cooperation and coordination between the National Security Adviser and parliament, in files of common interest."
During the meeting, Al-Araji stressed that "Iraq respects the sovereignty of states and refuses to be a springboard for aggression against neighboring countries, and at the same time refuses to violate its sovereignty," noting that "strengthening the security and stability of the region is through understanding, dialogue, cooperation and solidarity of all."
