JOC, Peshmerga discuss 6 security files

    The Joint Operations Command (JOC) and the Peshmerga discussed on Wednesday,6 security files.

    JOC said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "in continuation of security coordination and cooperation and the implementation of joint plans and visions, the Deputy Commander of JOC, Lieutenant General Qais al-Muhammadawi, met today Wednesday, at the headquarters of the Peshmerga Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Issa Aziz and his accompanying delegation from the Kurdistan region of Iraq, in the presence of the leadership bodies and departments."

    The statement added, "The meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest, including maintaining and strengthening security coordination and cooperation to confront challenges, discussing future plans and visions related to the security of the sectors, combating terrorism and crime in all its forms, and border control operations, as well as exchanging information, activating and unifying the intelligence effort, and evaluating, following up and analyzing what happened,it will be completed in 2022, and the joint action strategy for 2023."
